Just Got first boat; Fue Tank Vent Question

Hi just got my first boat.

been reading up on fuel tank vents; my steel tank has no vent, should it?

Motor is a Mercury 402 40 hp (year 1974)

Yes, thats what the screw valve on the top of the cap is.

Hey thanks

The thing is that my tank doesn't have a vent on the cap that is on it.

This is the exact same tank on ebay , I see that it also has a vent where as mine doesn't

Should I go and get a new cap?
