The weather here in Georgia has finally warmed enough so that the water is getting right for watersports. We'd taken the boat out a couple of times in the past month but hadn't actually been IN the water until this Saturday.

Saturday provided sunshine and near 90 temps, so we decided it'd be a great day to test the waters. My 3 year old went tubing for the first time (in Mom's lap) and had a blast...but he was more interested in swimming off the back of the boat. The cool water shocked him a bit when he first jumped in but didn't keep him out of it. Looks like my little guy is going to be my lake partner for good now as he had a blast! :D

Just figured I'd brag on how much he loved the water...but also because it's warmed up enough down here that we can get in the water! :D

Sorry john...couldn't help it. ;) I was just so psyched to be out there after a long winter and loved having my little guy (turned 3 in December) enjoying it as much as I was.

Brother, you are insane! I was out weekend before last, and the water temps were still in the upper 50's at Lanier. We keep getting those 80-90 degree days along with the 40 degree nights. I'm hoping we are gonna lock onto a nice warm spell over the next week or two that will get the lake temps to something more decent before May.
Kids are kids, though. My girls thought nothing of wading into the water on Venice Beach (west coast) in January. Water was cold enough to turn you a pale blue color in five minutes!

infidel...if you're home in Tennessee, it won't be but a couple more weeks before you can join in the fun.

eavega...Blackshear has warmed up to nearly 70. Big difference between north GA lakes and south GA lakes. This was our 3rd time out on the lake in the past month and each time we'd seen a few more people in the water than the time before.

I hear you about the turn you blue water though! We put in at Fernandina Beach back in February and had to wade into up to our shins while loading. That water was COLD!

Our hard water problem seems to be gone for the year;) Should be up on the skis in 2-3 weeks for sure, going to have to decide if its worth the pain to go up when we are at the lake place for easter next weekend.
