Took it on it's maiden (to me) voyage on Flathead Lake Sunday - about 55 miles round trip. New upholstery throughout, 5.0L with closed cooling system. Not sure whether it's a bravo or alpha lower unit - any decals have disappeared. Anyway, ran great, everything worked as it should, but no manuals - although I just wrote to Bayliner for one.

Anybody have insights on these models? This is my first closed cooling system and I'm used to winterizing my boats myself but without a manual to even show me what I"m looking at, I have no idea where to begin.

Will be setting up with gps/fishfinder next week. Downriggers are on the list as well, and a kicker motor. The guy had an 8 HP Honda 4 stroke, but sold it separate beforehand - is that adequate to troll with? I was thinking 9.9. Shouldn't need a long shaft as kicker mount is on swim deck which is just above water line.

Full camper canvas and everything inside on deck and below is basically brand new.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts and suggestions.

This may help you identify which outdrive you have.
