Just bought a 1996 bass tracker with a 120xr sport..

Just recently picked up this boat as a project. The guy we bought it from said there is a hole in the first cylinder. the other day we went to start the boat after sitting in a parking lot for four years. we took the park plugs out and cranked the engine with no plugs and water was shooting out the bottem cylinder. Thinkin this cant be good another problem i gotta fix. But any way got all the water out put all the plugs back in first crank engine fires up no problem. it ran for a while then the boat ran out of gas. soo my question is ive been having a hard time finding parts anyone know of any good websites for parts? that would be a big help thanks..

I know that at one time mercury made a 120xr jet drive, don't know if this is the same until we get some serial and model numbers as Roscoe suggested.If you could post some pictures and numbers that will help . MOPARMAN

Thanks guys i will post up some pictuers in a little while and maybe that will help also its a 120xr sport jet thats what it says on the engine.

ok, so its a Mercury sportjet, which is really a Force 120 powerhead.

is it a regular prop or jet drive?

It is a jet drive. This is the first one weve owned and dont know much about them but were gone be running it on the wisconsin river soo we figuerd that the jet drive would be better than a prop just cuz we lost soo many already. Heres a pic of the jet drive.
