Just bought a 1987 suzuki dt 25 need some help

Im new to all this...just bought an older bass boat set up..its 1966 starcraft tri hull fiberglass..

At least thats what the title says..first boat..
It had no motor so i bought a 25hp suzuki long shaft..tiller handle..ill post some pics of it..my question is how would i set it up for remote steering..the boat has had the steering all removed completley..im a car mechanic so im pretty good at fixing or making stuff..just wondering where to even start on something like this...

Like where and what stuff i would need to start with the motor first off...so any advice or help would be greatly accepted...thank u

A motor that old isnt worth converting. The parts are going to cost you way more than what the motor is worth.

I'm (was) a car mechanic, and home brewed steering and shift/throttle/choke controls for my Yamaha 25. Doing it by the book takes big $.
I found a used push/pull steering system, and bolted the end of the cable to the handle that you lift the motor with. I found a outer steering cable mount, for the housing. It needs to swivel, if you want to tilt the motor at all.
