the motor has sat for three years, it came with the original pressurized gas tank. the guy I bought it from says he replaced the recoil and that it ran fine the last time he used it, he said it was a little tricky getting the high and slow speed rich- lean adjusted, I want to try to start it today. what do I need to do to do this right, what should I check change etc. thanks Robert

The "Top Secret File" is a very good place to start. You'll see it, at the very top thread here. There's a lot of helpful information on awakeing a sleeping outboard and tune up procedures.

As far as your carb adjustments go, I would set your low speed at 1 1/2 turns out and the high speed at 3/4 turn out. Place your adjustment knobs to where they are at a centralized point, so you have a half turn on either way in or out.
