I'm vegetarian so I don't believe in killing an animal for anything, particularly sport. The article and vid also show he released it. Oh, and there's some skill in catching a shark albeit with a certain lack of finesse. Besides, there's no way of knowing what's going to take the bait on the other end line. It could've just as easily been a ray, cobia, or tarpon. The drag can lock on any reel and yank you out of a boat into a prop. Tons of Marlin fisherman taking the plunge in vidsonline. Being onshore actually gives a slightly better chance than getting yanked clean into +500' of blue water with what amounts to the Ferrari of the fish world on the other end of the line. If it should happen simply cut the line (with the knife/pliers any good fisherman has on their hip at all times, of course) and you both live to fight another day as it should be.
