my boats a 1961 0r 1962 starcraft Jupiter with a 1964 40 hp Johnson long shaft that i put on it..that some one was going to scrap for the aluminum. the transom was replaced on it and man what a hack job the person did on it !!! for some stupid reason they cut the transom height to 18 inches so i had to put a new transom in it to bring it up to 21 inches and i had to put a floor in it plus some seats making it into a fishing boat.
i have been using it like this for the past few years and this year im cleaning it up .its not a restore by any means im just trying to make the boat more presentable and usable for me

Looks good. I enjoyed my Jupiter. If you have any interest in adding a windshield to it, check out my Jupiter thread to see how I added a standard 3 piece bowrider windshield to mine.

Welcome to iboats and the starcraft armada:)

Nice little rig, looks like you get some good use out of the old girl. If she's got any leaky rivets look into using gluvit, available on iboats. Great stuff to prevent leaks and good to do if you are replacing the deck at some point.

Ezmobee already thought of that 3 piece bowrider windshield
i stripped an old fiberglass bowrider over the winter and took this off of it .its a little short but im going to lengthen the center piece to make up the differences
oh yeah and this is the hacked transom i was talking about.ill clean it up the best i can keeping the squared shape for now
it works

I love white boats. They always look so clean and classic.

It's not "Just an old Starcraft". It's a vintage piece of American Marine History coveted by many.:D

Hi Guys
with the bad weather that i have been having here in ct
i have not been able to do any work on my boat .
four days of rain really slows things down ..
i had nice 70 degree weather for Friday and today so
i finished wet sanding the white paint on the sides and taped
