yep, that sounds like a pretty bum experience to me too.
it also sounds like par for the course to me too. pwc repair shops seem to really hose the customer around when it comes to repairs. especially when under warranty it seems. + these darn skis are getting so high tech. ya can't do anything to them yourself. + the more high tech they get, the more that can fail. i gave up. i enjoyed pwc for 9 years but to be able to afford the sport of boating, i need to have something i can work on. new pwc don't fit that bill. and i hate being held hosage by the dealers. once they got your money, they couldn't give a rats *** after that. least thats been my observation... good luck with your woes..

I plan on taking it out tomorrow to see how it runs etc,, I noticed they cracked my reverse gate, someone probably backed something in to it or they backed the ski in to something..
The only thing we have to combat the being held hostage part of buying a new ski, or having a dealer b/s you about why they didn't fix your ski, boat etc, is this very tool,, the Internet,, it is a powerful way to keep the manufacturers and dealers from walking all over us.

Sorry to hear that about your Ultra. :( That's why I haven't bought a new ski and still ride my 98. All the new ones cost way too much money and a lot of them have problems. Especially the performance skis. They all seem to have some quirks that need to be worked out and the dealerships are learning as they go on them. That's why the internet is so great. I know more about my ski because of the forums than most of the guys at the dealerships that work on them. I haven't had to go to a dealership since I bought the ski because if I can't fix it I just ask for help on Green Hulk or PWC Today and I'm back on the water in no time! I guess if you are under warranty that you are unfortunately forced to deal with them. Hopefully they will make it right for you.
