Johnson year and model

I have a S/N of a Mid 90's Johnson that I wanted to find out the spec on:<br /><br />G03033201<br /><br />Any help is appreciated...

Model# (I think) J20CRE[JT]ND<br /><br />the [] means it is either J or T

Well, it is a 20hp engine built after 1979. The 4th and 5th letter represent the year. The sixth letter is a manufacturing run of no interest to us.<br /><br />See what you can do with this code:<br />I N T R O D U C E S<br />1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0<br /><br />The [JT] must be a C, E or S to represent an 8, 9 or 0, which will be the first number of 82, 92 or 02. The N is a 2.<br /><br />So, it is an '82, '92 or '02<br /><br />Hope that helps. :)

I think it's gotta be a '92, since the G in the serial number is for the Georgia plant which was only in operation in the 90's. Could the [TJ] be nothing at all?
