Yes, no problem excepet that it's larger. I'll assume you're after the higher gear ratio. Being larger it will create more drag. You also have to be aware of which V8 case you use especially if you're going to install a nosecone / low water pick up. Some are longer (like the 3.6) and installing a nosecone can move the steering axis far enough forward that the additional side loads can damage the upper mount.
