Johnson service manual

I have a 1958 Johnson Seahorse 10 that I've been working on. My service manual is probably from the late 60's early 70's and it seems it covers every motor BUT MINE. Mainly I'm looking for the little tricks it takes to get the lower unit apart. Basically its of absolutely no help. I was wondering if any of you had a more suitable service manual. Preferably free and in pdf form? haha

Hard to find for free. Try ebay, or www.kencook.com. They are kinda pricey but worth every dime.

Halfway down the leg there a small plate, remove that and loosen the 2 bolts, remove them completely actually.
That allows the gear box to drop, the shift shaft is a 2 peice setup.
