Johnson parts interchangeable ??

Can anyone tell me if the lower unit gears and shift cradle are interchangable between a QD12 And a QD22 10 hp johnsons????

That might well be possible although it is the difference between a 1951 and a 1961.The housing probably will fit,but I am not at all sure about the drive shaft.
