I've got a johnson 20hp outboard motor 1966. The bottom fin below the gear box is cracked. The number inside is 302492. Question is can I repair it with liquid metal if I cant find the part. I've been looking for a replacement part but just cant seem to find it. HELP lol.

Likely cracked from water freezing.-----Look into installing a seal kit.----That part is not listed separately as it is machined together with the upper part.-----Many folks have installed just the bottom half with good luck.-----Your location ?

is it leaking oil out or you just see a crack ?

maybe it can be shop welded and the weld polished off ?

Well.------Was it frozen , yes or no ?-----Gearcase assembly from about 1958 to 1976 will fit.----Lots of used around too.----Your location ?----Part numbers change all the time.----Does not mean other part numbers will not fit !!
