I was in the intercoastal waterway and ran over a submurged pile. The outboard was kicked up and now it appears that the unit is leaking. I have cleaned off the unit, raised and lowered the unit several times and nothing. I looked for dripping or squirting fluid but nothing. Initially there was a popping/crackling sound but I opend the fill and air rushed out. After that the popping went away. The next day, I checked out the unit and there seemed to be a few drips of trim fluid. Any suggestions? The fuid seems to be on the motor side(left side) at the botom. I even made sure the manual screw was tight. Thanks in advance!
