Johnson Not Pumping Water

Hello,
My friend just bought a boat with 1966 Johnson Electramatic 100 Super Sea Horse. Model # V4ML-12M Serial # J2692783 We were on the lake and it totally stopped pumping water. I looked for an impeller on the iboats parts list and there were none for a hundred horse johnson of that year. Does anyone know if this engine even has an impeller or does it maybe have some other kind of water pump? Please Help!!! Thanks

Of course it has an impeller. Part number 377992. Sierra number 18-3005 at iboats.

Thank you! For future reference, how do I find parts for this engine? What reference did you use to find that the impeller you specified is for a 1966 engine? I couldn't find where it says that on iBoats.

Well, part of the reference was just what is stored in my head. There is a parts list on-line at "http://epc.brp.com/default.aspx?brands=ej&lang=E Copy and paste the address without the ("). It only goes back to 1968, but I happen to know that the lower unit and water pump is the same for 1966-68. Most of the rest of the motor is also. The big difference is in the electrical and ignition systems.

As for converting the number to Sierra/iboats, Sierra has a website at sierramarine.com
