I have a johnson 5 1/2 hp that i am going to restore. The serial number is q2322713. Can anyone help me identify year so I can order correct parts? Also looking for advise on where to purchase parts on the web, does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks for your time and advise.

need model number, iboats.com,marineengine.com are great places to buy and very reasonable.on model number look up 2 letters from end.spell (introduces).put these numbers under letters.1234567890.that tells u the year.such as j20crcos.co means 1985hope it helps

Don't have model number. Plate on side is missing, got serial number off engine.
