Johnson hd 25 .. where can i get points and condenser from

I've been looking all morning for point,condenser or tune up kit for my Johnson hd 25. Anyone know where I can find these parts? or should I use the motor as an anchor instead?

HD-25 is 1946 - 1950. 1951 only is the HD-26. They were dropped in favor of the JW
I have an HD-20, which is 1941 - 1942. Basically the same, with the exception of the paint color.

I would try Engine Blade and Prop for those parts, or get ahold of someone in the AOMCI website, by placing an ad there.

If it has those funky pointsets/coils unlike newer J/E's through the mid '70's, I filed the point faces on one motor and reset 'em and it worked fine.. I don't know where, or if, you'd find aftermarket points/condensers for that model, if it's indeed the older magneto setup.

Yes, these models do infact have the gillatine style points. I believe the HD-26 does have the more modern universal style ignition system, because that was the year that other models were converted as well. I sent an email to Engine Blade and Prop and they told me that they do have condensors that will work in that model and they're just over 13 bucks apiece. They're pretty well stocked with the N.O.S. stuff, from these years.

Thank you so much for the info. I dont have the motor here to get serial #. It's been sitting in a repair shop for a month. They told me they couldn't get the condenser for it. I will give your suggestion a try.

I would also post an ad on aomci as Zephyr stated.
