These are the numbers on the transom mount decal:
Model# J100STLCEM
Serial# R08249042

After extensive online search I have been unable to come up with any Johnson outboard model # that comes close to what I have. I have looked on marineengine.com and other sites listing the numbers but nothing close.

I was told that it was an 82 but this unit looks in way to good of shape to be that old.

Any idea as to what years Johnson GT100's were made?

Oh yea, and how did you come up with that, from the CE in the model#?

Re: Johnson GT100

Hi, I have a 1990 model and they were made for several years - late 80s into early 90s. If you search through all the forums you'll find plenty of info on your GT100. The guys on here generally have plenty of good advice, so follow their de-carbonizing tips and do regular checks on your VRO and you'll get plenty of good service from that outboard.
Keep your rod in the water and catch lots !!!!
