I have a 1958 Johnson 10hp It has 2 lines going from the fuel tank to the motor, One says air, and one says fuel, My gas tank has Rust in it, so i want to get a plastic tank, But the new tanks only have one connection. Is there a special connector or tank I need?<br />Thanks

Re: Johnson Fuel lines question

You have a nice antique, but you will need a pressurized fuel tank to run it or you will have to convert the engine to modern single-line operation -- involves addition of a fuel pump. The pressurized tanks are available, but often a little costly (Check Ebay for two-line tanks to get a feel for the price). With a working tank, though, your motor will be worth more too. If you are not inclined to tinker, I would recommend just getting a proper tank.
