Greatful for ths forum,has helped me many times in past.My motor had shop?tune up,carbs rebuilt,new plugs,wires,water pump last fall.They said I had 100 lbs on 1&3 and 125 on 2&4,OK? 1st time out this week.Nothing over low speed,when i kept tapping the choke it would go little faster but if i gave it full throtle it reved up and acted like it was out of gear and die in 2 or 3 seconds.Starts right back up at slow speed.Got home drained gas-looks ok,checked filter-ok,found rubber hose that goes in lower back of carbs busted,that cause?won't get back on lake till ? anything else to check? Thanks again for the work you all do.

Did ya' try squeezing the primer bulb? The carbs ain't getting gas....poking the choke confirms this. Squeeze the primer bulb and see if she will try and run at WOT. If she wants to, start check around the VRO pump...assuming you are running one...for lose fuel lines or air leaks. Check the primer bulb. May have a bad valve in it....or better yet, swap the fuel line from the tank to a known good fuel supply line and bulb. If the engine still dosen't want to go fast, the problem is between the fuel connection at the engine and carbs.
