My boat was running good the last time I was out.
I have been mixing my fuel 50:1 as I am suppose to and have had no problems. Went to run it the other day and it is smoking and fouls the plugs. It will run but won't idle. May have screwed up the gas mixture somehow. Can I take the hose off my tank and stick into another known good tank of mixed fuel and crank it up? If I clena the plugs and crank it up and let it run would it clear up?
I have installed new plugs and it started up great but began to run bad again in a short time. I see black oil out of the exhaust. Really seems to have too much oil in the fuel. Waht is the best way to correct this problem? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Johnson 90 Fuel

Verify that this is the problem by running on a portable tank with the proper mix. Then deal with the old mix. You may be able to figure out how much extra oil was put in the previous mix and add some fuel to take care of it..
