Howdy. I have an old Johnson outboard motor and we can't quite remember the oil to gas mixture ratio for it. I don't know the model number, (it's up at our cabin, while we're here at home, preparing to leave), I only know that it is a Johnson motor, with 9.9 Horsepower from the '70s, and it looks identical to the attached picture that I found on the internet, which labelled it as a 1976 Johnson Seahorse 9.9hp, or something along those lines. Relevant answers within the next 24 hours are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Yep, 50 to 1 ratio is correct.

My apologies, I made this account just to post this question and I was just trying to be certain. Thanks for all the help.

Re: Johnson 9.9hp Oil/Gas Ratio

Can anybody confirm this?

Actually, if you want to be picky, the correct "oil/gas ratio" is 1:50.
I assume that FR was just too polite to point out that you asked backwards. :)
Welcome aboard.
