Johnson 9.5 Surging

73 Johnson 9.5 surges at full throttle, misses, causing the boat to "dig in" when rev's drop. It is fitted to a 11' fiberglass open runabout. The boat just will not plane anymore.. PLEASE HELP !!

Squeeze the primer bulp and see if it will pick up. Probably time for a fuel pump kit.
