what year is my motor a 77? and what other info can you guys give me?

Could it be 15R77(M)?
If so it is a 1977 15hp, It uses a 50:1 oil/gas ratio.
Usually a pretty good little engine. If the engine is new to you and you don't know the history on the engine, replace the water pump impeller and change the lower unit oil. Start out with fresh gas.

could be a m but ill have to go check here later this afternoon i know they had different version ie: salt and fresh water versions?

No, they didn't make salty versions for the smaller motors. Later years they made some of the larger models in saltwater versions with extra corrosion resistance and stainless fasteners, but not in the kicker sizes, and for sure not in 1977...

is there a difference between 15r77n 15r77m ?


also my fuel tank is a single hose set up and on the tank it leaks between the fitting on the tank and the fitting on the hose and i just replaced the fitting on the hose and its still leaking any ideas?
