Johnson 70el76d lower unit removal problem

I am trying to remove the lower unit to replace waterpump impellor. Screw from shift rod removed, bolt under trim tab removed bolts on both sides removed and still won't come off

There should be six bolts to remove. Did you get them all ??

yes removed 6 and still get only a mm of seperation

If this mtr is used in salt water good chance the drive shaft splines are frozen into the crank shaft splines. Try rapping the lower unit with a big rubber mallet.
