Just bought the boat. Engine ran great except for oil leaking between lower cover and drive unit. Only thing I could deduce was a hose/diaphram which ran to the top of engine cover (over starter gear) that might have been discharging excess oil. I say excess because Ifound out that the oil level was way past the upper mark of the dipstick indicating that the engine was overfilled on last oil change. Is this hose some kind of a relief valve?
