johnson 40hp waterpump case!

i have this pumpcase no 325404 which does not match up with my motor, the one i see in the BRP catalog is different . my question is what motor was this waterpump case from? ive tryed searching for it but have had no luck the reason being ive been looking for the water impeller and gaskets for this pumpcase.. cheers nouse

The housing part number should be 0303831. Thats what the shop.evinrude site says. The part number for the kit should be 379774. I have a '73 I'm fixing to buy a kit for.

Yes im aware , but id like to know what motor the pump i have is off?

When you go to this site, click Ctrl and F on your keyboard and a "Find" window will appear at the top of the page. Type in 379774 and it will highlight in yellow the models of engine which used this complete kit number, including housing, as follows:
