I bought a boat a few weeks ago that needed some work. Mostly in the wiring. The guy I bought it from had it wired totally wrong. Had everything messed up.
The switches, like the lights and even the choke were all wired wrong and in the wrong places. This includes the ignition switch. He had it somewhat right but once I start it I cant turn it off by turning the ignition switch off. Im not sure if its wired wrong or if its just a bad switch.
