Johnson 25 Horse Model & Serial#

I have a Johnson 25 horse boat engine and I can't for the life of me find the model & serial number. So I can't tell if it's a 55,68 or 72 or what. I want to order the repair guide for it. I've looked all over the motor and bottom and can't find anything. Should there a chrome or stainless steel or metal tag on the engine somewhere? Welcometo iboats Roscoe!<br /><br />There should be an ID plate on the transom bracket with the model and serial numbers. Failing that, look on the powerhead. Look for a quarter sized disc with the same info stamped on it. If all else fails, post a couple of pics, we'll see if we can't ID your motor.
