Johnson 150hp !!!NO SPARK!!!

I have an 1985 150hp crossflow. Just rebuilt. I used a simple wiring harness that came off the motor. come to find out rectifier was bad. I got one off of Ebay. It is an Air Cooled Rectifer. I checked all my grounds. Everyone is good. Motor will turn over but no spark. Tried it a few times and had spark for a few seconds one of the times. My CDI Packs are new and so are Coil Packs and wires,plugs. Had a friend tell me try swapping Stator and Trigger. I had a spare that matched so i did. Still no spark. Anyone have any advice on where i should be checking? I read on here someone said the black and yellow wire coming off stator or trigger is a kill swithch wire. Should i follow it back to control box?

You should have a black/yellow wire coming out of each pack. Disconnect them both and see if you have spark. If you do the prob is in the wiring harness or boat. If you still don't have spark you have a mtr prob.
