Johnson 150 v6 - fuel pump location

The VRO pump was disconnected prior to me purchasing the boat. I was hearing a clicking noise at the VRO and disconnected that power harness to the VRO pump. Question is - does the fuel pump require any electricity from the VRO pump wiring harness, or is it a simple diaphragm assembly?

Seeing mixed results online, so hoping for more solid answer here. If anyone has a pdf repair manual for the Johnson 1993 150 v6 please let me know thanks!

No the pump itself is mechanical. The electrical harness is for the no oil flow sensor.
