HELP! 89 model 150 Johnson, drops one cylinder when it warms up like a bad habit. Started with tach quitting working, then 1 month later started dropping #5 cylinder. Thought maybe air bleeds on carb's main jet was stopped up, rebuilt carbs to absoulutely spotless condition. Sometimes you got it running on all 6 for a while but then it would drop dead. Other 5 run fine according to plug reading. Acted just like one of the seperate coils breaking down when it got hot, So I replaced the coil and wire on #5 cyl. Same thing - dead cold on all 6, go down river 1/2 mile and #5 drops and never comes back. Proceeded to go with powerpack ($$$wow$$). Just got back from river - SAME THING. Someone suggested cracked diaphram on fuel pump, but it's on the other side and #6 is the lowest cylinder in the crankcase - seems to me if raw fuel was going in it would go down. HELP! Any suggestions before this boat drives me to drinking? F.Y.I., auto technician with 10 years experience, so I know a little about what's going on, just not with this blasted thing.
