Johnson 150 -87 idle problems!

My motor doesnt have any vro pump, its replaced with a electric fuel pump, on idle it runs bad it sounds like its coughing or something, and sometimes it dies becouse of it, i have, replaced the plugs, cleaned carb, replaced gas, and still goes bad, and when i try to put in a shift and increase throttle its dies.I have fire on all plugs, but when i take away i wire from the plug 1or 2 under idling nothing happens is this normal, and what should the idling rpm be?<br />Imust say this, When i Move the timing arm manualy and then increase throttle then the motor sound very healthy at 5000rpm, but not when i puts in a gear. WHAT CAN IT BE the summer in sweden end in august soo maybe no boating for me. thansk for listning on my long story.And whats the alarm signal i heard but not hear any more coming out from my gas/throttle shift.?
