Johnson 15 hp working good then no spark

my "other" johnson 15 was working fine, starting on the first pull everytime. i took the carb off to get to the shifting rod so that i could drop the lower unit and fix the water pump. when i put everything back together i tried to start it would not start. cranking perfectly but will not start. i checked the spark by taking out the spark plug and holding it against the sparkplug threads to ground it while someone else pull the rope. there is no spark coming from BOTH of the wires to the spark plugs. can anyone suggest what this could be and narrow down what i can check instead of buying a whole new electrical system which is BIG BUCKs. thanks for all the help in advance. oh yeah this is a 1993 year motor.

check your kill button,they do wear out,disconnect and check for spark

If you do get it started with the stop button disconnected, you may have to choke the motor to stop it.

thanks guys you were right. it was the kill switch. i thought it was going to be something alot bigger than that. now just have to replace switch.
