Hi to all
I have a 94 johnson 140hp V4 with plastic carbs. I have broken down the carbs today to clean and I was wondering about the correct position of the high speed jet.
On 3 of the carbs the high speed jet was approx 10.5 half turns out from fully screwed in but on the last carb it was fully screwed in all the way.
Can anyone give any ideas about what is the correct position of the high speed jet?
Thanks

Not sure who worked on it but they are not adjustable and should be in tight.

Are you sure it's the high speed jets you're talking about ??

Yes, remove the drain screw from the bottom part of the carb to access the high speed jet. I thought it had to be tight to allow the fuel to flow but on 3 of the carbs the jets were loose and about 10.5 turns from tight. They should be screwed all the way in tight like the low intermediate jets right??

I cleaned all the carbs in an ultrasonic cleaner and screwed all the jets in snug. Engine fired up first time, like a dream.
Thanks for all your help
