Hello friends,

I have the engine of reference. I bought the boat of second hand and I guess that the previous owner disconnected the buzzer included in the control box.

I'd like to install a temperature warning buzzer and guess that the temperature sensor switches are wornout.

Anybody knows how can I remove the two sensors and install a new piece? I have the clymer manual, but I don't find help for this repair.

Also I'd like to know which are the necessary specifications for the temperature warning buzzer, that is to say, is possible to istall any buzzer?.

As always, many thanks for your help and replies.

Hello, Alcfer.

Sorry, My manual is also a Clymer, so I don't have an answer for you. I just wanted you to know that you aren't being ignored.

Perhaps Joe Reeves or TMD will be along soon.

Good luck. :)

Alcfer.... You must remove the water jacket plates from the cylinder head(s) in order to remove or install the temperture senders (sensors).

The OMC part number for the sender (sensor) is 386686 and lists for approximately $50.00 . I have a few left in stock, which I would discount, should you have a problem finding what you need.

You should be able to find a horn of some type that would be suitable at any electronic store.
