I just purchased a boat with a Johnson 115 HP Sea Horse. I believe it to be a 1980 or 81 engine. I want to get a new prop but don't know how to replace it due to not being to find any serial numbers. Where would I start to find a replacement. It has 3 blades on it. Any help appreciated!

Most props have the size and pitch stamped into them, look on the hub between the blades or on the hub itself, the part of the hub facing the lower unit.

A somewhat common size for most of the older johnsons were 13-1/4 x 17 but it should be stamped on the prop somewhere.

If it's an OMC/factory prop, the pitch and part number are cast into the center hub, visible next to the nut/cotter key. The OMC part number will lead you to the pitch/diameter of the prop. If it's a Mich Wheel, they have a letter/number combination stamped onto the side of the prop. Their part number is pretty obscure: The only way to decode that is to compare it with the Mich Wheel master parts list.
