I have been helping my nephew with his boat and it has a Johnson 110 VRO, The oil tank was cracked so we removed the vro system, and we want to just run mix gas. The problem we have run into is the alarm the low oil alarm is going of, and we can figure our how to bypass it any sugestions.
thankyou

Not familiar you that engine. But with any alarm like that you have a few options. First, you can locate the actually alarm itself and remove the wires. A better method would be to locate the wire(s) that ran to the oil tank sensor and either open them or short them together it all depends on how that alarm was set up. Either way, don't just allow bare wires to be hanging around to cause troubles later on. Tape over them after figuring out what the alarm requires to stop sounding, and happy boating...

Look for a wire connector that comes from the vro and unplug that. As for the oil tank just unplug the connector that comes from that.
