johnson 0334050 carb cover - 9.9HP two stroke 1988 J10SELCCD

looking for the following carb bits - a crap repair on the carb cover of my engine needs replacing - the carb lid has been repaired with car body filler - the cam follower area of the carb cover had been broken off - so I am looking for the cover and cam follower assembly - If anyone has one 'lurking locally' or knows where they can lay there hands on one reasonably priced I would be much obliged

If memory serves, that particular year's plastic cap was superseded to a later model due to warping. A call to a dealer would confirm.

1987 they changed to the flat type carb top 0431829
88 = 0334050
91 = 0334050 & 0336049
92 = 0336049 & 0337833
93 = 0436316
94 = 0436762

but they all look the same to me in the drawings

I have managed to get one that looks basically the same but I cannot find that part number in their lists 331735 and there is a 'D' either before or after

this is where they went from the long needle type with the adjusting knob on the outer fairing/cowling to the short screw needle with no adjusting knob on the fairing/cowling

can I use this one instead??

is the one I have here now but it is the same year as mine both being 1988 - so is this the one that warped ??

If you go back to the opening of this Johnsomn/Evinrude forum & click onto FAQ, down near the bottom you will find a link to my 9.9/15hp repairs. Here you will find a number of articles, but the one you are looking for will be the carburetor/fuel pump repairs. Here I help a bit in explaining somew probelms with these carburetors & give part numbers & prices as of 2007.

I am not sure that a 94 carburetor will fit the pre 93 motors as that newer motor was totally redesigned.

The part #331735 has been superceeded to 433973
