Well, start by posting the model number...the more info you give us...the more help we can give you. Is this a 'new to you' motor?
Start by checking to see if the motor is overheating, put a finger on the head, is it blazing hot?
Is the water pump working? Is there a spray of water from the midsection showing that the water pump is working?
Work the primer bulb in the fuel line, does the motor improve? If it does, you could have a faulty fuel pump.

Post back your findings....
