We have twin johnson 91s v6 200s. <br /><br />Getting ready, both engines ran hot on land. We replaced thermostats on both and water pump on one because of a stuck lower unit on the other.<br /><br />Tested each w/earmuffs- the engine with new thermostats and water pump was pretty warm and peeing a little water. the engine with the new thermostats only was still too hot to touch more that two seconds and dripping water from pee hole.<br /><br />Took out thermostats, tested again, cooled right down.<br /><br />Are new thermostats most likely working properly and we have to replace water pump and impeller ?<br /><br />its gonnna be a nightmare to free lower unit and probably no season or should we look at something else first.
