Guys,
I'm at the end of my rope on my nephew's motor.
It cranks, idles, runs full and half throttle great. However, it has a cyclic surge at 3/4 throttle.
I've done my best to set the points and checked gap at each cam lobe, cleaned the rotor and dist. cap, cleaned the carbs and even pulled the high speed orifices to doublecheck. The plug wires ohmed out at 20ohms for the highest resistance, 2 ohms for the lowest. It has a brand new CDI amplifier and coil.
I don't know the timing on it so it's the only thing I haven't checked and reset.
Compression is 150-155psi on all cylinders. It pumps water great and I've installed a tattle-tail.
Tried different plugs as well as a different fuel tank with no change.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated,
