Re: Joe Reeves and any other OMC gurus
Oh, what I would give for a manual, believe me!

The shaft turns fine alone, when I hook the valve body, or TNT I guess it's called? up the motor tries to turn but won't.

putting a shaft in the TNT from the old trim motor I can not make it turn, it will go 1/16" one way and the same amount the other way.

I just unbolted the 4 bolts holding the body together and yeah, the ball bearings got loose on me.

anyway I'm in it now so try to talk me through it. I have the 2 gears, one is slotted to receive the shaft, I have three ball bearings and two springs and set into the base is a ball bearing that I can't get to move, I'm guessing there is a spring under it?

one ball bearing is very small and I see where that goes, the other two are the same size and I assume they go over the two holes either side of the gears, did I lose a spring? I only have one that will fit those bearings.

I don't understand yet how this works, I see the large spring with b.b. that is the return from the cylinders, I see the manual overide path, I don't see which hole is the feed?

is the ball bearing that is 'stuck ' in the base suppossed to be free?

putting oil in the feed and trying to blow it back out to see the route is doing nothing, neither is trying to find it from the other direction.

hey give it a shot, I can be taught, you can always walk away if it gets to be too much for you!

thanks!
