I think you have your wife/girlfriend stand on the ramp and hold the trailer/boat up while you change the tire.

yup, i cut up a 2x6 this weekend, stacked up a few pieces in different lengths, and it worked fine.<br /><br />cost $4 for the wood

Do you think I could use the ex wife for this?<br /><br />She would make a great jiffy jack - just laying there like a lump do nothing was a specialty of hers.

An $18 bottle jack is much more useful and takes up the same amount of room to store. Who is going to watch the tire as you drive up on the jiffyjack to make sure you don't go too far?
