Jetting up a 15hp Yamaha

I've heard that it's possible to jet up a carbie to give extra horsepower. Has anyone tried this ? Can i do it to my 2 stroke 15hp yamaha? And if so how far can i go? Fuel consumption isn't an issue as this is my inshore boat and does not get more than about 2 hours running a week. any advice would be appreciated.<br /><br />Matt

Don't think so Matt. 'bout the only way jetting up will work is if there is a restrictor plate between the carbs and manifold and it's removed. I don't know but I doubt there is a restrictor in that engine. You can check and see though.<br /><br />c/6<br /><br />Hooty
