Hello - What are advantages/disadvantages of jet outboard motor ? Is there a difference in fuel consumption ? Acceleration ? Why does no racing boat have a jet drive ? Why doesnt everybody have a jet drive ? Etc.
Jet drives are slugs. You lose about 30% performace and economy. They do have their place in shallow waters where a prop would be toast, but in general usage you are better off with a prop.
