JET BOAT

Can someone tell me about a boat called a "sidewinder"???? 21 foot, 454 Chevy, jet drive. I am going to look at it this weekend and although I have had some boats the jet market is a new one for Me. It will just be a toy so no info about what they are good for"making noise". I am looking for info on the hull quality and such. thanks for the help.

Rosco....<br /><br />As a 15 year old teenager back in 1972, I used to drool over my cousins 18' Sidewinder powered by a Merc 140 h.p. It was the most awesome boat I'd ever seen. <br /><br />Anyway...you might try to a search for "Sidewinder Boats". I just did and found a site that had a lot of good info about the history of Sidewinder. Originally built in California, they were apparently bought out by Thompson boats in the early '70s then when Thompson went belly up around 1980...so did Sidewinder.<br /><br />Give a search a go...<br /><br />Walt
