What are the benefits of that engine supposed to be? I thought my 2 stroke bowrider was loud. Seems like a silly pairing of technologies.

i'm betting that isn't bilge, that is probably a coolant check line so the driver can glance over and make sure it is flowing...

this is one of those 'because the mountain is there' type of things. The power to weight ratio of a jet engine is insane (as well as total shaft horsepower), so you do get that benefit, but the fuel consumption is also going to be equally high.

If I had a jet engine laying around I'd have it tossed into something! (actually, I DO have a little one laying around, just having gotten around to building anything fun with it. Its a spare turbocharger that I was going to convert to a jet.)

hey look at me.....my wanger is realy small so I built a jet boat to make up for its lack of size!!!
