What's with all the Japanese Bass fishing products, do they even have freshwater Bass in Japan.

Yea bass fishing is just as big over there as it is,except they dont have as much water to fish,way over preassured fish.also its not a native fish so there goverment is trying to get rid of them.which is causing a big stir.just what ive read.

They do have freshwater and they are gin clear, super pressured. That's why you see all the super realistic bait, extremely fine details and those Japanese pros are whipping butts finesse fishing in the states. Drop shot, shaky head are both originated in Japan.

Just look at Tokahiro Oamori. Won the Classic, but can barely speak English. Excellent fisherman. They're definatley a major opponent to American fisherman.

yup and they make far superior products over there as well.. They are super anal about EVERYTHING fishing from lures, to line to rods MEGABASS to reels DAIWA AND SHIMANO... All my reels come from Japan and I wont EVER buy another domestic reel again.

Well, OK. I wasn’t sure if they were just manufacturing for the American market, or if it was a popular sport over there. I just purchased a lure that didn't have a single word in English anywhere on the box except for the name. Got me curious.

which bait? Megabass, jakal, etc...... Try out a Japanesse reel and you will see why I wont go back. They came out with the antares DC which is the calais in the US with the DC digi control ealier this year and you dont see that here in the states yet till MAYBE ICAST.

It was a Brody Swordtail and a Brody Swordtail Jr. My Daiwa's are made in Japan.
